Controller names are Xbox's. On PlayStation: A = Cross, B = Circle, X = Square, Y = Triangle, LB/RB = L1/R1, LT/RT = L2/R2. The game draws your own controller's buttons on screen.
Phones and tablets use the same on-screen buttons. The top bar folds extra buttons under More when the screen is narrow.

Good to know
On a controller, B always goes back and never does anything in the world, so you can't misfire while a menu is open.
On a controller, tap Up on the D-pad to move into the top bar (Tames, Items, Craft, Dex, Arena and the rest), then pick with A.
Holds are short: going back to the Sky Hub and stopping a tame each need a hold of just over half a second.
If you're in a fight, getting off your mount needs a short hold so you don't drop off by accident.
The tame bar keys (Z to M) are keyboard only. On a controller use the dino wheel instead.
